Washington, D.C. (July 19, 2010) – Major League Soccer today named the League’s all-time goal-scoring leader Jaime Moreno to the gameday roster of the 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The legendary striker joins the team as one of Commissioner Don Garber’s two selections to the roster, marking his eighth all-star honor. This program is geared for both male and female field player’s ages 7-17 years old. It is an introductory level into professional training with Major League Soccer’s king of goals Jaime Moreno, after 16 years of playing professional soccer in England, U.S. and representing Bolivia as the youngest player ever to play in the World Cup 1994, he is ready to pass his soccer experience to the youth of our nation, in a very fun and relaxed atmosphere. The week will focus around purely teaching the technique, ball control and maintaining possession and becoming a better player. Over the duration of the Moreno Soccer camp each player will be expected to rise to the occasion whilst being challenged to improve his/her technical, tactical, physical, and mental soccer abilities. Each child is expected to leave the camp showing some improvement in their knowledge of the game and technical/tactical skills. Our coaches are there to help provide your child the most comfortable experience whist demonstrating and excelling your child to the next level.

Each child will receive a sack pack, t-shirt, water bottle and a certificate of completion by Jaime Moreno. Balls will be given to 100 registrants who apply first.

United opens League play on March 27 in Kansas City

Washington, D.C. (February 3, 2010) – D.C. United announced today its 2010 Major League Soccer regular season schedule. Winners of 12 major domestic and international titles, D.C. United kicks off the campaign during First Kick weekend – presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods – on Saturday, March 27 in Kansas City with the home opener set for Saturday, April 3 against the New England Revolution. Washington, D.C. (January 29, 2010) – D.C. United announced today the re-signing of Major League Soccer’s all-time goal-scoring leader Jaime Moreno. Moreno, despite spending the 2003 season with the MetroStars, has been with United since the inception of MLS in 1996. The Bolivian forward has played in 319 regular season matches in his United career. Moreno became the MLS all-time goal-scoring leader after tallying number 109 on August 22, 2007. 91st minute assist in draw is forward’s 100th

Washington, D.C. (April 17, 2009) – With a dramatic 91st minute assist in D.C. United’s 1-1 tie against the New England Revolution tonight, Jaime Moreno became the first player in MLS history to record 100 goals and 100 assists. His pass in stoppage time to set up Ben Olsen’s goal, gave the Bolivian forward his100th assist. Coupled with his unmatched 122 goals in League play, the feat is yet another accomplishment in Moreno’s long and storied career in Major League Soccer.
